Trip Itinerary
1

Reykjavík

Day 1-2
Day 1: Reykjavik The day of arrival is perfect for visiting the capital and getting used to the country's Nordic atmosphere. Depending on the arrival time of your flight at Keflavík International Airport, you can start the trip by learning more about Iceland's history and heritage at the National Museum of Iceland and The Settlement Exhibition, both in central Reykjavík.
2

Golden Circle

Day 2-3
Day 2: Golden Circle and waterfalls in southern Iceland On the second day of our Iceland route, we will travel through the impressive landscapes that were used as settings for Game of Thrones, we will have to drive approximately one hour to Geysir, one of the most impressive places in Icelandic geography. There, in addition to small streams with steaming water, we will find the Strokkur geyser, the most active in the area today. It explodes boiling water 30 meters into the air! From there, a short car ride will take us to the incredible Gullfoss waterfall, the most spectacular in all of Iceland. After traveling to the incredible Gullfoss, it will be time to visit the waterfalls on the south coast of Iceland: Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, both surprising. It will be practically impossible to choose your favorite.
3

Jökulsárlón

Day 3-4
Day 3: Skaftafell, Vatnajökull and Jökulsárlón Glaciers We will start our day with a hike along the Vatnajökull glacier which glaciers occupy almost 10% of the whole country. After continuing along route 1 in a counterclockwise direction, the last stop of the day will be in Jökulsárlón. The huge icebergs floating in the glacial lake and washing up on Diamond Beach are the most impressive sight in southeast Iceland.
4

Dettifoss

Day 4-5
Day 4: Seydisfjordur, Borgafjordur Eystri e Dettifoss We will drive along the Ring Road to Egilsstaðir, where we will take a detour along a secondary road to the village of Seydisfjordur. This road is stunningly beautiful, and served as film sets for films such as Walter Mitty.
5

Mývatn

Day 5-6
Day 5: Lake Mývatn Halfway through your Iceland route, we will have the entire day to visit the Lake Mývatn region. To end our tour for the day, there is nothing better than relaxing in the thermal waters of the Mývatn natural baths.
6

Goðafoss Waterfall

Day 6-7
Day 6: Húsavik, Godafoss and Akureyri The day will start early with a trip to Húsavík, the best place to see whales in Iceland. In addition to enjoying whale watching (with a high chance of seeing them), we can enjoy the seafaring charm of the town and visit its interesting museum about these cetaceans.
7

Tröllaskagi

Day 7-8
Day 7: Trollaskagi and Stykkishólmur During the seventh day, we will momentarily move away from the main road to enjoy the coast of the Trollaskagi Peninsula. This area is mainly famous for its spectacular, rugged landscapes and for housing treasures such as the picturesque village of Siglufjordur.
8

Snæfellsnes

Day 8-9
Day 8: Snaefellsnes The 8th day will start by touring Stykkishólmur, one of the most picturesque towns in Iceland. After the route through Snaefellsnes we will stop shortly at Kirkjufell, the most photographic landscape in the country.
9

Hraunfossar

Day 9-10
Day 9: Borgarnes, Hraunfossar and Reykjavík The last stop before returning to Reykjavík will be Hraunfossar. This is one of the most breathtaking scenarios in the whole country because its water seems to appear directly from the lava field.
10

Reykjavík

Day 10
Day 10: Reykjavík The last day of your stay in Iceland will be perfect for carrying out some of the experiences you weren't able to do at the beginning of the route, such as whale watching in the Old Port or taking a dip in the Blue Lagoon. Plus, if you have enough time, you can go inside and see some of Reykjavík's most interesting museums. The Árbaer open-air museum or the Perlan stand out, where you can understand how the Icelandic nature that has fascinated you so much in recent days works.
