Where will we stay? Futon and Tatami We will be staying in a guesthouse or Airbnb with shared rooms in Kyoto and/or Osaka. A futon is a traditional Japanese mattress and bedding set. It typically consists of a mattress pad, a duvet, and a pillow. Unlike Western-style beds, futons are designed to be placed directly on the tatami mat or a wooden floor. Futons and tatami create a distinct Japanese sleeping and living experience, emphasizing simplicity, comfort, and a connection to nature and tradition. Tokyo Accommodation Our accommodation in Tokyo will be a capsule hostel, you will have your own cabin and bathrooms are shared. The accommodation is modern and breakfast is included in our stay. You will also receive your own sleep analysis afterwards. The capsule unit will scientifically measure your sleeping condition.

Day 1-3
day 1 We will meet in the afternoon in our accommodation in Ōsaka and get to know each other by a nice dinner together. We will be staying here for two nights. Take a rest after your long flight, because tomorrow we start exploring! day 2 We will start the day with breakfast together! Afterwards, we head to Osaka Castle, an iconic symbol of the city. Explore the castle grounds and visit the museum inside to learn about its history. In the afternoon, we stroll along Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, a bustling area filled with shops, boutiques, and department stores. It's a great place for shopping and people-watching. Later, we visit the Kuromon Ichiba Market, also known as "Osaka's Kitchen." It's a lively market where we can sample street food and buy local ingredients and snacks.

Kyoto

Day 3-4
day 1 Our next destination is Kyoto, just a brief half-hour train ride from Osaka, granting us ample time to explore this culturally rich city. Upon arrival, we'll drop off our luggage at the reception and set out to uncover the wonders of Kyoto. One of our first stops will be the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, a must-see attraction renowned for its ethereal beauty. Walking amidst the towering bamboo stalks feels like stepping into another realm, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Next on our agenda is a Tea Ceremony, an immersive experience that delves into the ancient art of tea drinking and its profound significance in Japanese culture. Led by a Tea Master, we'll partake in a traditional purification ritual before being guided through the meticulous process of preparing and enjoying matcha tea. It's a journey into the heart of Japanese tradition, where every step is infused with grace and mindfulness. day 2 Today, we'll embark on a captivating journey through Kyoto, adorned in the timeless elegance of traditional kimono attire. Our first stop is a rental shop, where the basic kimono package awaits us as part of the inclusive price. For those desiring additional adornments such as hairstyling or accessories, supplementary fees apply. With our attire meticulously arranged, we'll capture enchanting moments in the picturesque backdrop of Kyoto, immortalizing our experience in stunning photographs. Venturing forth, we'll make our way to the renowned Kiyomizu-dera temple, renowned for its iconic wooden stage extending over the hillside. Alongside the picturesque Shirakawa river, our guide will regale us with tales of geisha traditions, illuminating the intricacies of their kimono, hairstyles, and daily rituals. day 1 Today, we embark on a high-speed journey aboard the renowned Shinkansen bullet train, whisking us from Kyoto to Tokyo in just over two hours. Upon arrival, we'll swiftly drop off our luggage at the hotel and set out to immerse ourselves in the vibrant energy of the city. Our first stop is the iconic Shibuya Crossing, a bustling intersection renowned as one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world. Whether you choose to observe the mesmerizing spectacle from the vantage point of a café or dive into the heart of the crossing itself, it's an experience not to be missed.
