Ischia is a volcanic island in the amazing bay of Napoli. Hearty people, great food, sea all around, nice picturesque villages, a fabulous botanical garden, trails to the top of the volcano, and fantastic natural spas and thermal resorts. That sounds like an amazing end of summer in Southern Italy! Are you going to join me? :)

About me! My name is Simone, a well-studied and well-traveled, dynamic person with many passions. I'm a professional tour guide and tour leader! I would like to enjoy the end of summer in the best possible way, so activities and relax should somewhat be balanced. I expect to do 1 or 2 hikes, some cultural sites, then go to the beach, natural spas and thermal resorts!

Details about the accommodation: An amazing, spacious villa with a garden and solarium, close to the harbor and well connected. There are 4 rooms and 5 beds, some of them double, plus sofas in the living. More than comfortable for a group of friends! The villa will be placed in a convenient spot, doted of comforts and a common area for us to spend some time together. You can let me know in the Q&A section if you have questions about the trip! Ischia

Day 1-8

Everybody will have to catch a ferry/hydrofoil from Naples to reach Ischia. This day will be dedicated to explore the Ischia main town area with its nice shops and alleys. Our walk will finish at the castle, time permitting we will visit the keep to enjoy the island view from above. Then a good dinner will set us to rest!

Spiaggia di San Montano

Day 8

We'll start the day visiting the Archaeological Museum of Ischia, where we'll see ancient Greek manufacts found in the area. We'll then walk to the scenic San Montano beach, and after a break we'll hike through the Faro wood to reach a beautiful belvedere over San Francesco beach and the town of Forio.

Giardini Poseidon Terme

Day 8

The third day we are going to relax in the stunning Poseidon spa complex, probably the largest and most well-known of Ischia's many such resorts. Here we will have the chance of using the sauna, cold and warm pools, whirlpool Jacuzzi and many more. At the end of the day you will feel literally reborn!

Serrara Fontana

Day 8

The next day we will start early to reach Serrara Fontana, the most isolated town of Ischia, to climb above Monte Epomeo, the extinct volcano of Ischia! The view from the top will reward us from the fatigue! We will then walk our way down to reach Forio town and finish with a nice aperitivo/dinner!

Procida

Day 8

A short ferry ride will take us to the smallest island of the Campanian archipelago. We will explore the harbour town, then reach the highly picturesque Corricella district. If time allows it, we will hit the beach at Chiaiolella before returning to Ischia.

Giardini la Mortella

Day 8

The fabulous botanical garden La Mortella hosts hundreds of species on several levels, with terraces overlooking the island and mysterious corners. A pleasure for the eyes and an extraordinary chance to admire the beauty of flora. After the Gardens we will go again to Forio or back to Ischia for beach time and aperitivo or dinner!

Sant'Angelo

Day 8

We'll start our day early to reach the town of Pansa and start our walk to Sorgeto bay, where we'll relax in the natural hot springs! After that we will move to Sant'Angelo town for a nice gelato! One more walk will bring us to the amazing Maronti beach where we can see hot fumaroles from the volcanic soil!

Naples

Day 8

Time to leave! We are going to check out and take the ferry back to Napoli. The people who are going to spend a few hours or a couple of days will get all my advices on how to best enjoy their time in this incredible city!
