Tsavo West is a stunning park, showcasing natural wonders from the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal-clear water gushing from the parched lava rock at Mzima Springs to the rugged wilderness of the Shetani lava flows. The savanna ecosystem includes open grasslands, scrublands, Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges, such as the poacher’s lookout, where visitors can view herds of animals on the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world, with attractions including elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, and diverse plant and bird species, including the threatened corncrake and the near-threatened Basra reed warbler.

Day 1

Detailed Safari Itinerary from Nairobi Day 1: Nairobi to Saltlick Game Lodge 7:00 AM:Arrive at the Nairobi SGR station to check in and go through security procedures. 8:00 AM: Depart Nairobi via the SGR (Standard Gauge Railway). Enjoy the scenic journey with opportunities for animal viewing and beautiful landscapes. 12:00 PM: Arrive at Voi SGR station. Transfer to Saltlick Game Lodge.

Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Day 1-3

Check-in and enjoy a delicious lunch at the Saltlick Game Lodge. Settle in and relax. 4:30 PM: Depart for the evening game drive. Experience the rich wildlife of the Taita Hills Sanctuary. Return to the lodge. Freshen up and prepare for dinner. Dinner at the lodge followed by an overnight stay. Day 2: Game Drives and Relaxation 6:00 AM:Wake-up call and light refreshments. 6:30 AM:Depart for the morning game drive. Enjoy the early hours when wildlife is most active. -Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Relax at the lodge. You can enjoy lodge amenities, read a book, or simply take in the views. - 4:30 PM:Depart for the evening game drive. Another opportunity to spot the diverse wildlife. -Return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

VOI SGR STATION

Day 3

Day 3: Departure for Nairobi Breakfast at the lodge. Check out from the lodge and transfer to the Voi SGR station. -9:55 AM:Board the train for Nairobi. - 2:00 PM:Arrive back in Nairobi, concluding your lovely safari.
