What's special?
special Stadium Tour in Manchester and Liverpool
special Liverpool, the Beatles city!
Hello everyone! Are you ready to see two or three of the most famous football stadiums? If you are an english football fan, you should join me in this trip! Manchester and Liverpool are two of most famous cities in the world, speaking about football (soccer for american friends). Manchester United FC and Liverpool FC... these two teams are known in the entire world for their history, their successes, their fans and... their beautiful stadiums! Old Trafford, in Manchester, has about 75000 seats, and here football legends like Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney played. It's also the stadium where Sir Alex Ferguson has been United's coach for 27 years. Anfield was built before the 1900, and has more than 50000 seats. Here other legends like Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Steven Gerrard played, as now Mohammed Salah plays. I had the opportunity to be in these two cities in may 2016, visiting Old Trafford and City of Manchester stadium (home of the Manchester City FC), so here I am to bring you there, to enjoy this beautiful atmosphere, but this time I'd like to see Anfield too, and I want to do it with new travel mates! I didn't included City of Manchester stadium in the plan because I want to give you the opportunity to decide if to see it too, or enjoy a walking tour in Manchester, visiting the Football Museum. Why we will not see any football match? Well, to find tickets for a Premier League match, especially for a group of foreigners, it might be quite difficult, even in minor leagues, like Championship. I'm working on it for the future, maybe for a League One match, but for this time, there will be no football match. Anyway... it's not just football! Liverpool is also known as the Beatles city: we will walk in the town, following their history too, finishing our walk with a fish&chips lunch! About Manchester and Liverpool, in january it might be cold and rainy (about 3°C to 7°C, 13 days of rain), but it's also a cheap period to visit. And if you want to enjoy the real english atmosphere... this won't be a problem! WHAT'S INCLUDED: Old Trafford and Anfield tours are included, as one between City of Manchester stadium or Football Museum (just remember they are guided tours, in english language). You can check better below what's included. I added a 5% buffer, just in case of unespected changes, and also a very little trip leader fee.

ABOUT ME: I'm Alessandro, an italian 37 years old certified tour leader (I passed the exam just in september 2023, with english and spanish qualifications), and I have a special connection with the city of Manchester: it has been my first destination in 2016, after a bad sickness who affected me in 2015, and it has been my first trip, the one who encouraged me to travel. So I'd like to reply it as my first guided tour. I travelled in 19 countries so far, and I always planned by myself itineraries and activities... that's why I decided to do it as a job. WHO CAN JOIN ME? In my trips, everyone is welcome: alone travelers, friends, couples, families. I love kids. There are no age limits! I like waking up early, exploring all day, and going to bed no too late. I'm not a party-guy, if I can say so, but I love meeting people and share good moments with them :-) I also follow an alcohol free life ^.^ So, if you love alcohol parties, or you don't like walking, or maybe you just can't walk much... maybe my trips are not for you. COME ON, FOOTBALL FANS! This little trip to feel the english stadium atmosphere is just waiting for you! Feel free to contact me for any questions.

ACCOMODATION: Due to England high costs, for our stay I choosed an hotel located in Salford (Manchester), a little far from city center (but to go to the center, there is easy public transport). This way, rooms are cheaper. I have been in the same hotel in 2016, and felt very well. It's a two stars hotel, with toilet and bathroom in every room. You will sleep in a twin bedroom, with separate beds. If you need a single room, or a family room (maximum three beds), just let me know and I'll tell you the cost difference. I alredy spoke with the structure. Breakfast is included. There is no hair dryer in the rooms, but it can be rented asking for it. The room temperature is adjustable up to 24°C in winter times. There is of course free wifi, and also a 24h open reception, where there is too a drink and food machine. If you arrive early or leave late, you can drop your baggage.

Trip Itinerary
1

Manchester

Day 1-2
Welcome to Manchester! This will be our stay for the entire trip! Hotel is located in Salford, close to a tram stop. On the first day, we will meet at the airport around 5pm or at the hotel around 6/6:30pm and we will have our first dinner all together close to the hotel.
2

Manchester

Day 2-3
Today it's time to enjoy the real stadium atmosphere! In the morning we will have a guided tour at the Old Trafford Stadium, home of the Manchester United Football Club. We will walk into the museum, and be close to the field. After lunch, we will have two options, that might be decided before the trip: visiting the city, walking from the nice Castlefield quarter, passing by Albert Square where there is the Town Hall, and arriving at the old Cathedral, before ending our tour visiting the Football Museum; or we can go to the City of Manchester Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club, to visit this more recent stadium, before ending our day having dinner in the town center.
3

Liverpool

Day 3-4
New town, new story... new stadium! We will take a train from Manchester Victoria station to go to Liverpool. Once there, we will take a two-three our walk in the city, to see the most important monuments and follow the Beatles history. We will start from Lime Street train station to go to the big Liverpool Cathedral. Than we will visit the harbour with its monuments: the Beatles and Titanic monuments, and if you want, we can take a look from the top of the ferris wheel. We will pass close to the Cavern Club, where the Beatles played their first times, and we will have a fish&chips lunch. In the afternoon it's time to see our second (or third!) football stadium: Anfield, home of the Liverpool Football Club. We will probably have dinner in Liverpool, before coming back to Manchester (remember, dinner in England is early: around 6 - 6:30 pm).

Manchester

Day 4
Today our trip ends! For those who have flights in the afternoon or evening, the hotel provides a baggage drop. My flight is alredy in the morning, so there will be just time to say goodbye... to the next time!
