Trip Itinerary

Holiday Inn Johannesburg - Rosebank, an IHG Hotel
Day 1-2
Welcome to beautiful South Africa! Today we will begin our adventure with a welcome meeting at 6pm followed by an optional group dinner at the Hotel restaurant. Prepare yourself for one of the most amazing experiences!

Voëlparadys
Day 2-3
We'll depart at 6 am and travel to our stop over for tonight, VoëlParadys (Birds Paradise) Enroute, we'll stop in Lephalale for shopping to get essentials and any items you may have forgotten, then move on to our lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the views and local wildlife on your doorstep.

Elephant Sands Lodge
Day 3-4
What an absolutely amazing experience to be up close and personal with these gentle giants! Yes, we'll be camping right in the center of the Elephant Highway where the Ellies stop over for a drink while congregating just meters away from you!

Zambezi Waterfront
Day 4-7
Today we have a border crossing which could be very challenging at times. Remember in Africa we say Hakuna Matata (No Worries) with only a 70 km drive we will get into Livingston town nice and early then head to our accommodation for the next 3 nights at Zambezi Waterfront just 10 minutes away. Once we freshened up and settled, we'll hop onto the Mv Makumbi for a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River. Morning of day 2 after breakfast, we'll head out for a guided tour of the Mighty Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls) as well explore the local markets and you'll have the option to visit the Zimbabwean side of the Falls or enjoy one of the optional activities wich will be listed in your trip notes.. We'll then end the evevening off with some local cuisine, song and dance at one of the local restaurants in town. On our last day, you will have the option of doing a variety of activities such as the famous Zambezi rafting, having afternoon tea at the David Livingston, or jumping into a pool right on the edge overlooking the Falls.

Thebe River Safaris
Day 7-9
Today we head back to Botswanaand Chobe National Park. We will do a quick shop stop in town and don't be surprised to see some wildlife roaming the streets and or taking a nap in front of the bank. We will then drive out to the boat jetty where we'll head out for a sunset cruise, exploring and taking in the most breathtaking sunset while spotting wild animals and an abundance of birdlife The following morning will be filled with excitement and awe. We will have an early start to embark on a game drive into the Chobe National Park. Upon return, a hearty brunch will be waiting and you can spend the rest of the afternoon at the pool. Optional night drive into the Park is available or you can enjoy the camp fire while we cook some delicious food on the fire.

Planet Baobab
Day 9-10
Known as the Baobab Capital of the World where the average age of trees is more than 4000 years! We will be joining a guided walk of approximately 2h30m followed by sundowners at a watering hole, then after head back for dinner at camp.

Sitatunga Camp
Day 10-13
A short 200 km drive today, we'll get into town early, do a shop stop in Maun then drive another 14 km out of town to Sitatunga Camp where we'll be based for the next 3 nights. We'll spend the rest of the afternoon preparing for our overnight Okavango Delta trip. Day 2 will start with a 4x4 drive of approximately 2 hours after which we'll enjoy the splendor and bush sounds while being maneuvered through the lush and peaceful waterways of the Okavango Delta on dug-out canoes and end up at a remote island where we'll spend the night listening to old tales from the locals and the unforgettable night sound of the African bush. You will also have the opportunity to swim in the infamous Okavango under the watchful eye of our Polars. Bright and early start on day 3 as we embark on an early sunrise walk exploring and searching for wildlife. We will then head back to town where you'll have the opportunity to explore the Okavango Delta by air in a 5 or 7-seater plain. We'll then head back to Sitatunga for a much-needed shower and enjoy dinner around the campfire.

Khama Rhino Sanctuary
Day 13-14
Established in 1989 due to growing concern over the the escalating prevalence of rhino poaching in Botswana. Khama Rhino Sanctuary offers prime habitat for endangered white and black rhinos as well as over 30 diverse animal species and more than 230 species of birds. Get ready to be amazed by this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Day 14
After a magical trip, our African adventure comes to an end. Early start as we cross the border at Maartin’s drift into South Africa and on to Or Thambo International Airport where we unfortunately have to part ways. If you're catching an outgoing international flight, it's important to book it for early evening or later, to allow for delays that we may encounter. Until our next adventure! Safari Njema! (Travel Safe)
