This would be an ideal trip for solo-travelers who want to share a part of their journey together. I will be in Lisbon before this trip and will head back home without using an airplane. I would say, expect a middle-budget trip (It's definitely not low-budget backpacking - It has been long since I have done that as a teenager haha). This time I will use selected hostels with high comfort, good common areas to meet other people, plan engaging activities (experience local food and drinks for example) and plan the most convenient stops to reach Central Europe (where the trip will end). I am more than happy to get to know your preferences as I see this as a joint activity, where new people will meet and everyone's wishes will be considered.

I am Greg, my friends call me travelGreg as I travel a lot. I work for travel companies as a freelancer but also love traveling myself of course. I traveled Europe mainly by train as I like the principle of "slow traveling" (but via high-speed-rail haha). I am an outgoing person, always up for a beer or two. This can be in a good bar or common areas as I believe conversations are much more valuable than clubbing (which I hate by the way). The best conversations are the funny ones which bring people together and are often useless :-) Days with me won't be packed with activities as I like time to chill every now and then, visit a Café and hang out before making plans for the next big thing. I'd love to hear from you, what your plans are and how you would like to travel. I think we can work something out together if parts of the plan are not a hundred percent what you expected!

I will take your privacy serious, so just let me know and I will work out a private room for you. When it makes sense, I also don't mind sharing a room, but probably not throughout the whole trip. If you need private washing facilities, please also let me know. Expect middle-budget accommodation. Please let me know what your preferences are, I am flexible! What I know from experience is to use high-class hostels or good B&Bs with open common areas where people meet. Any questions about the trip? You can let me know in the Q&A section!

Trip Itinerary
1

Lisbon

Day 1-3
Our trip will start here. We will enjoy pasteles de nata, explore the city and also its bars and other local food. Also we will visit the main sights of the capital. I will be there the whole week already, so I am open to meet you already earlier. (Bild von Steffen Zimmermann auf Pixabay)
2

Porto

Day 3-4
The trip will commence on Saturday to go to Porto. We will enjoy the duoro river banks and its beautiful cafés and bars, see beautiful azulejo tiles at Sao Bento Railway station and visit various sights. I would love to see Nuri sardine cannery if you agree to go :) (Bild von Luiz Costa auf Pixabay)
3

Vigo

Day 4
Porto-Figo will be the only bus connection. We will stay in the city during the day only. Probably we will meet pilgrims of the way of st james as we visit the famous cathedral and town centre which is their goal. (Bild von Hans auf Pixabay)
4

Madrid

Day 4-6
By direct train we will go to Spains capital. We will see the kings palace, the arena de Toros (we won't visit a show tho!), visit parks for our breaks and do whatever pleases us and enjoy the capital. (Bild von ddzphoto auf Pixabay)
5

Zaragoza

Day 6
This will be a day stopover only (cheap train connections go there). I expect this is a place with less tourism while having enough to offer to see / explore / taste :) It has nice river banks and a cathedral and lies directly on the main route to our next stop. If you prefer we can also go directly to Barcelona, but I would recommend to take the chance if we're already there. (Bild von Alexander Gresbek auf Pixabay)

Barcelona

Day 6-8
This might be the most multi-cultural city we will visit. You can expect vibrant city life, again good food, meeting nice people and having a good time going to bars having one or another craft-beer or cocktail. (Bild von Michal Jarmoluk auf Pixabay)
7

Paris

Day 8-10
I can call myself a Paris expert as I visited already more than 10 times. I do have relatives there which is why I might leave you to the city during the day. If you need recommendations I am more than happy to plan each day with you efficiently :)
8

Zürich

Day 10
Zurich is a hub for almost every final destination that gets you home with many direct connections (Innsbruck, Munich, Vienna, etc.). We won't have much time there, however we might have 1-2hrs to walk to the Lake, see expensive luxury stores and have a glimpse at the beautiful old town.
