Trip Itinerary

San José
Day 1-2
Welcome to Costa Rica! The airport is around 35 minutes away from the center of our capital. You need to arrange your own transportation to get to the city, I can gladly assist give you the best advice on what are companies, how to take the bus or use Uber. San José is a city with its own charm, not many tall buildings and just a few historical ones. The National Theater, Jade and National Museum, or the Steinvorth building for coffee are some places to visit. Going to Barrio Escalante for a drink, the fancy nightlife street, or to La California, a little more local. Depending on your arrival time I can gladly give you a walking tour around some key locations!

La Fortuna
Day 2-4
Arenal Volcano & La Fortuna Today we will hop on our shared transportation and head to La Fortuna. This town is mostly known for it's colosal Arenal Volcano, with a mostly perfect cone shape. Because of the volcano, the town is also blessed with natural Hotsprings, which we will visit on the evening of our arrival day. On the next day we will hike at the feet of the volcano discovering the greatness of the rainforest.

Monte Verde
Day 4-6
Cloudforest and Walking on Tree Tops Monteverde is the most emblematic Cloud forest in Costa Rica. This small town will melt your heart, with it's artisan shops, organic and local offer and also mixed with a call for adventure! We will also have the chance to walk through hanging bridges on the tree tops . It's immense wildlife including Sloths and the Resplendent Quetzal might show themselves along this walk. Keep your eyes open!

Manuel Antonio
Day 6-8
Enjoy the South Pacific Manuel Antonio in a shared room with 1 other Tripmates. The accommodation is at a walking distance of 10-12 minutes from the center and the coast. These days you can use it to relax or if you decide to join on a bigger adventure we will go on a day tour further south to Uvita and Marino Ballena National Park on a quest for searching migrating Hump Whales. We will also visit Manuel Antonio National Park, the main attraction that encloses the most emblematic beach and even thief monkeys!

San José
Day 8-9
Time to say goodbye! At this point, I'm sure we will all have all kinds of mixed feelings. But overall this will mean we have almost finished an amazing and unforgettable trip together. I will leave you the night before your flight or departure to the next stop again in San José. We can also have a last dinner or shop for some souvenirs.
