Palma de Mallorca Airport
Day 1
Day 1 - Sunday: Start of the yoga retreat Welcome to the Balearic Islands - Spain's sun-loving party archipelago. Palma de Mallorca International Airport connects many places in Europe with the island and in the fall Mallorca transforms from a party mile into a beautiful oasis of relaxation. We want to take advantage of this time of tranquillity and practise yoga, meditate or even work in a peaceful atmosphere when you are traveling remotely. The airport transfer on the day of arrival is not included, as we are all likely to arrive at different times. However, as I will be picking up the car at the airport, you can of course join me for the drive to the accommodation if it suits you. This will all be discussed in the group before the trip. I will also be happy to help you organize a cab and, if necessary, shared transfers with other fellow travellers. A cab from the airport to the accommodation currently costs around €80 and the journey takes 45 minutes. As soon as everyone has arrived at the accommodation, a lot will be drawn to determine who gets to move into the beautiful single room with en-suite bathroom. 🙂 We're staying fair here, luck is luck and no one is favored. The others then move into twin rooms. We get to know each other in an informal group over dinner in a restaurant and sit down together in the evening for our first meditation. We round off our first evening together with a wonderful view of the valley and a few glasses of wine by the pool. Santa Margalida
Day 1-7
Day 1 - 7: Sunday to Saturday: Yoga and travel The week is all about yoga, relaxation, discovery and healthy and fresh food and of course lots of fun in our women's group. 🧘♀️😊 A classic day looks like this: We start with a 60-minute yoga practice consisting of pranayama (breathing techniques), asanas and meditation. This means that both yoga beginners and experienced yoginis can take part in the retreat. You don't have to be sporty or flexible, as I will also show you alternative exercises so that you can do everything according to your abilities. :) Topics from philosophy and anatomy will also be included in the lessons and you will learn a few new elements every day. I also teach yoga therapy (yoga chikitsa) and yogic facial massage alongside well-known elements of yoga. You can take both home with you as a treasure trove of knowledge and continue practicing there. Breakfast is vegetarian and consists of fresh fruit and vegetables, local olive oil, farm eggs and Spanish specialties. We can enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace in fine morning weather (see picture). Community and coming together is at the top of the yoga program. That's why we cook dinner together and prepare a simple and light meal from fresh ingredients in the evening. Lunch and afternoon are at our free disposal. We will go on two extensive hikes in the mountains and the surrounding area and if you like, you can also simply relax by the pool for a few days reading, sunbathing and swimming or visit a beach in Mallorca. The area where the farm is located is quiet and private, away from noisy towns and roads, with beautiful fields and only the farmer's chickens and sheep next door. Perfect for an exclusive yoga and nature week. In the late afternoon, we gather back at the villa for the evening yoga session. As I try to teach diversely, the evening sessions will be different from the morning ones and you can take a lot of new things with you. We will prepare the vegetarian dinner together in the yogic spirit. This not only saves costs, but also allows us to have a chat or two. A few cold plates of local cheeses, fresh salads, couscous, breads and more and dinner is ready. If we decide as a group to go out for a meal, we always have the car at our disposal and then drive into town. Depending on individual preference, the evenings can be spent relaxing in the group or privately by the pool. The pool is always at our disposal and can therefore be used by our group from early in the morning until late at night. Parc natural de Mondragó
Day 7
Day 4 - Wednesday: Parc Natural de Mondragó We start the morning as usual with yoga and then set off after breakfast for another day of hiking and sightseeing. Today the focus is on hiking and together we will explore the Mondragó National Park in the south, which is known for its beauty, green hills and great beaches. We plan to spend around 6 hours in the national park and on S'Amarador beach. Incidentally, the hiking routes can also be shortened if someone does not want to hike 15 km. In the late afternoon, we then drive together to our accommodation. Puig des Tossals Verds
Day 7
Day 6 - Friday: Puig des Tossals Verds Puig des Tossals Verds is a peak in the central Tramuntana mountains on the Balearic island of Mallorca. After breakfast, we start our approximately 1-hour drive along serpentine roads and through valleys and forests up to around 600m above sea level and hike up to the summit, which is around 1300m above sea level. The hike starts off relatively easy, but becomes more challenging towards the end when you reach the summit and I reckon it takes around 5 - 6 hours to complete the entire route. The effort is definitely worth it! If the weather is good, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the entire island from the top. If you don't want to hike up to the summit, I suggest a few easier routes. Or you can take this day to relax by the pool at your accommodation until we meet again for dinner. Day 7
Day 7 - Saturday: End of our yoga journey We start our last day with a refreshing meditation session and then have breakfast together before preparing our luggage for check-out. The drive to the airport takes around 45 minutes (please bear this in mind when booking your return flight and factor in the check-in time). If you are leaving early, you will have to organize the transfer yourself (approx. 80€). Once we arrive at the airport, we say goodbye to our new acquaintances and start our journey home. I very much hope to have you with us and to get to know you 😍. P.S.: If you want to spend more time on this wonderful island, you can add a few more days on Mallorca, which means you can continue the trip privately and don't have to travel back to the airport.
