Located in spectacular Georgian Bay, on the shores of Lake Huron, this region is home to the Bruce Peninsula National Park, a UNESCO-protected area featuring thousands of acres of lush green forests, peaceful inland lakes, flat-rock beaches and limestone cliffs towering over the Bay's turquoise waters. The Peninsula also houses a section of Canada’s longest walking path – the Bruce Trail. This section of the trail stretches for 170 Km from the town of Wiarton to Tobermory, in Ontario, through green forests and along cliffs with gorgeous vistas over the lake and the rocky coastline. Every day we will explore a different part of this well-marked trail. The hikes are quite difficult with steep climbs and rugged, rocky terrain. This trip is suitable for advanced-level hikers only. ** Max 12 participants. Isthmus Bay
Day 1-2
* Sun (Day 1): Isthmus Bay hike (Swan Lake Ln to Lion’s Head) After checking in at our elegant and comfortable lodge, we gather in the lodge’s living room for a meet and greet with your trip organizer and an overview of our hiking getaway. Then we embark on our first hike in scenic Isthmus Bay, near the village of Lion’s Head, which will be our home base throughout this adventure trip. The trails in this area afford pleasant walking on bush roads and difficult hiking on Escarpment cliffs, thus setting the tone for the rest of our hiking escape. Length: 8 Km (5 mi)

Lion's Head
Day 2-3
* Mon (Day 2): Little Lake to Lion’s Head This entire day is dedicated to exploring the trails surrounding Lion’s Head, which is situated on a smaller peninsula branching out of the Bruce Peninsula. The Bruce Trail runs all around the shoreline of Lion’s Head, thus making for a memorable hiking experience, and plenty of photo opportunities! A variety of interesting geological formations and many displays of wildflowers, rare orchids and ferns add to the beauty of our hike. Length: 12 Km (7.5 mi)

Dyer's Bay
Day 3-4
* Tue (Day 3): Dyers’ Bay hike (Devil’s Monument) Today we venture into another spectacular section of the oldest footpath in Ontario. The Dyers’ Bay area, along the shorelines of Georgian Bay, is truly incredible and among the most scenic parts of the Bruce Trail. The hike will take us through old cedar forests and limestone tunnels to explore the highs and lows of the Peninsula. There will also be a well-deserved lunch break at the beach, so don’t forget to pack your picnic lunch. We will also take the time to marvel at the Devil’s Monument, a 45-foot high, flowerpot-shaped rock formation on the shores of Lake Huron. Length: 14 Km (8.5 mi)

Cyprus Lake
Day 4-5
* Wed (Day 4): Hike to the Grotto and Cyprus Lake In the morning we head out for a day hike in one of the most visited and amazing sections of the famous Bruce Trail, in the northern part of the Bruce Peninsula. The hike will take us through the beautiful Grotto, and along the shores of two picturesque lakes in the peninsula’s interior – Cyprus and Horse lakes. There will be a stop for lunch by the lake, but you will need to pack your own picnic lunch. We will encounter strange and wonderful rock formations, cliffs, mysterious caves, holes in the ground that you can climb down, glimpses of water so clear it takes a hiker’s breath away and white beaches that dazzle your eyes. It is enough to mesmerize any nature enthusiast. Length: 16 Km (10 mi)

Tobermory
Day 5-6
* Thu (Day 5): Hike from Little Cove to the Village of Tobermory (see the final leg of the Bruce Trail) Today we enjoy a hike through scenic Dunks Bay and an observation tower to the northern terminus of the Bruce Trail, marked with a cairn overlooking the harbour in Tobermory. Bring a lunch to enjoy on the trail. This is a more relaxed, yet enjoyable hike through one of the most frequently-used sections of the trail, located by the charming village of Tobermory, a popular tourist destination with several shopping and restaurant options. Length: 9 Km (5.5 mi)

Colpoy's Bay
Day 6-7
* Fri (Day 6): Colpoy’s Bay hike We will marvel at incredible vistas over the Bay and White Cloud Island. Explore the lower Bruce Peninsula with another scenic hike through a green forest, atop the white cliffs overlooking Colpoy’s Bay towards the town of Wiarton. We will have a lunch break on the trail. The trail offers more scenic lookouts over Georgian Bay and an island near the shores of the Peninsula. The fascinating geological formations and diverse vegetation of this area make for another memorable adventure. Length: 13 Km (8 mi)

Hope Bay
Day 7
* Sat (Day 7): Hope Bay hike (Jacksons Cove to Rush Cove) After packing our bags and checking out of our rooms, we will spend the morning exploring another picturesque area of the Peninsula, as we hike through Cape Dundas, we will enjoy gorgeous views of the lake at Melville Sound and Cape Croker. Located south of Lion’s Head, near Hope Bay, this section of the Bruce Trail takes us through more hidden crevices and caves, as well as breathtaking vistas over the lake’s deep-blue waters. Length: 7-8 Km (4-5 mi).
