Join me on an exciting adventure to explore the remote Canary Islands of La Gomera and La Palma! These islands offer the perfect escape from the cold and rainy autumn days in Europe 🍂. With ample sunshine ⛅️, pleasant temperatures for hiking, and refreshing dips in the ocean, it's an ideal destination. Now, let's discuss the details of our trip: We will meet each other on Saturday in Tenerife. For the first night we will stay on this island and head to La Gomera 🚢 the next morning all together. If we're fortunate, we may even have the chance to witness local whales and dolphins playing in the waters between the islands 🐳. Our stay in La Gomera will span three nights, during which we'll explore the island, embark on hikes, and immerse ourselves in its stunning natural beauty! 🥾 Afterward, we'll journey together to the next island, La Palma, via a pre-arranged and inclusive ferry ride. La Palma experienced a volcanic eruption as recent as 2021 🌋. As a result, you'll have the unique opportunity to witness a fresh and newly formed volcano, seeing the ash settled on the ground and perhaps even some smoke emanating from the summit! We'll spend another three days enjoying the wonders of this beautiful island, following a similar itinerary as in La Gomera. Our trip will conclude on October 21 in La Palma. At 5:00 PM, I'll be taking the ferry back to Tenerife. You are welcome to join me or extend your stay if you're captivated by this island's allure! This flexibility is why the ferry from La Palma back to Tenerife is not included in the trip, allowing you the freedom to choose your own post-trip activities. Each individual will be responsible for their own arrival and departure arrangements, but I'm here to assist you with any queries or uncertainties regarding the ferries, flights, and schedules. Shared expenses, such as groceries, fuel, and other related costs, will be managed through the Splitwise app 💸.
I'm looking for travel buddies who are open to adventure, exploration, and creating unforgettable memories. Preferred age range: 22-45. Additionally, to maximize our time, most of our tours will begin between 8:30 and 9:30 in the morning. This will be an active holiday, so, if you prefer a more relaxed beach holiday or if you are a late sleeper, this tour may not be suitable for you :)
Three islands also means different accommodations. In total, we will sleep in four different places. Chosen to see as much as possible on our one-week island hopping adventure. Canary apartments, equipped with kitchen, where you'll be paired with one - three other individuals. I'll do my best to separate rooms by gender, but please let me know if you're comfortable with mixed-gender accommodation as well. Tenerife
Day 1-2
Welcome to the Canary Islands! 🌴 Our first night, we will spend in Tenerife, since international flights don't land directly at the smaller islands. Let's all try to meet around 16:00, so we can still spend some time at the ocean and enjoy our first dinner together! Our real adventure will start tomorrow when we catch our first ferry to La Gomera.

La Gomera
Day 2-5
We will meet around 11am in La Gomera. Let's arrange meeting points and exact times in private, since some of you might fly there or go by ferry. The adventure and exploring starts already on the way to the Island. Keep your eyes open on the ferry for dolphins and whales! It is not unusual to see some on the way. Once everybody arrived we will start our journey and our first exploring. Seeing amazing nature and having our first dip in the ocean! I will bring snorkel gear, since there will be a spot where we could see some fishes! 🤿

Valle Gran Rey
Day 5
Today we will take all our bags and bring it to the next accommodation, which is on the west coast of the island. Along the journey we will have several stops. Some small hikes and breathtaking views later we will arrive in Valle Gran Rey. There we will enjoy the afternoon on its Black Sand Beaches and relax for a bit. 🌴👙

Day 5
On our third day, you can decide if you want to join a hike or if you just want to have a relaxed morning at the beach. The ones who want to do a hike 🥾- it will be around 2 hours, along a river, between lush bamboo forest, rocks and small waterfalls. 💦 Afternoon is for exploring the town and discovering the coastline a bit- as also beach time!

La Palma
Day 5-8
Before heading to La Palma we will still have a good half day in La Gomera. We will visit the last corners of the Island before getting ready for the ferry. We will check out the highest point of La Gomera, Alta de Garajonay by adding a small hike to it. After that we will see some more beautiful nature, great rock formation and nice swimming spots. 🌊 We will only arrive around 21:30 in La Palma and will probably just check in, eat something and go to bed 🛌.

Centro de Visitantes Volcán San Antonio
Day 8
Thursday will be our first full day on "La isla bonita". That is how the canarios call it, and it means the beautiful island. Today we will take it a bit easy since we had a long trip yesterday and arrived late. We will check out a visitor center of a volcano, go to some beaches and enjoy the first day on the new island.

Roque de los Muchachos
Day 8
Before heading up to the highest point of La Palma, to Roques de los Muchachos ⛰️we will pass by the area of the last erupted volcano of the archipelago. With one sad and one amazed eye, we will probably leave this place and continue our journey. Sad because it is of course tragic to see how many people lost their houses. Let's end the day while watching the sunset on top of La Palma.

Santa Cruz de La Palma
Day 8
Today we still have time until 16:00 to catch the ferry back to Tenerife. At least for me! Like I have said already in the introduction- feel free to stay longer or join me on the way back to Tenerife. Anyways, let's not waste much time in the morning but enjoy the last day together in La Palma! There is still a small last hike planned, a waterfall and some ocean time. I have chosen my most favorite places - hope you will like them as well. :)
