Metalhead where are you? Do you wanna bang heads with me? Came to join my trip to enjoy some metal and at the same time know a new place and the peculariaties of the portuguese culture in many diferent ways. So, attention metalheads, this is a warning to the community that would like to get to know Faro, and a little of the Algarve and add that to an even more memorable experience. I'm going to introduce you to Al-Metal, a recent local festival, which is in its 2nd edition, this year, in addition to Portuguese bands, there will be some international bands, such as SAOR, directly from Scotland, and for the first time in Portugal. Spanish band Noctem, Dread Sovereign from Ireland and Gospelheim directly from Manchester. This festival is comprehensive, with diversity in metal. Here there will be heavy, death, thrash, some gothic and symphonic bands, as well as black metal. Let's get to know them??!

About me! Hello, my name is Carolina, I'm 29 years old. I don't have a YouTube channel, WhatsApp, or mostly any social platform (just Facebook and Instagram). Connected with the real world, curious about traditions, history and cultural heritage, I love exploring both my native country and beyond its borders. Graduated in Agronomy, I am somehow connected to the land, and in recent years I have lived close to the sea, which has shown me very different lifestyles in such a small space like the Algarve. It was here, in the interior of the Algarve mountains that, through friends, I discovered the underground and its varied musical styles and became interested in the movement. Over the years I got to know more and more, and to this day I continue in an incessant process of discovery. That's why I decided to share these experiences, in order to achieve the maximum in multisensory experiences.

Details about the accommodation: I rented an apartment in Faro, with two bedrooms with twin beds and one bedroom with a double bed. Two bathrooms and kitchen for common use, you can make your own meals, majority the breakfast. Common terrace, Wifi, TV and Hairdyer. Day 1-2

On the first day we will settle in at the residence, so you can rest from the trip and get to know the group. We will have dinner at a local restaurant and we will meet the Bafo de Baco, the underground bar with more than 30 years of history in Loulé, a place of worship for local fans of alternative music, from jazz, rock, hardcore, among other cultural facets. We will be able to visit the place, learn a little about the history of this place, while enjoying a drink and ambient music.

Day 2

Explore the underground world of rock salt mines. At a depth of 230 m, beneath the city of Loulé, we discover the history of the rock salt mine and admire the geological formations that are 230 million years old. - On a walking interpretation trail, inside the mine, measuring approximately 1.3 km, we discover the evolution of rock salt mining processes. - The geological importance of the mine in the region and the applications of Rock Salt throughout human history to the present are discovered. After literally two hours in an underworld, we will have lunch at a local restaurant, where we will relax a little and talk about our experience. Day 2-3

Morning rest. Possibility of a 2-hour walking tour in the historic area of Faro, with a guide (9:30am-11:30am). The concerts start around mid-afternoon and will last until approximately 2am, there will be food and drink at the venue. LET'S ROCK!! Day 3-4

Rest day. After 2 days of shaking our heads, we're counting on some rest. We can rest in the morning. Depending on the weather conditions, there will be the possibility of taking a boat trip to Praia de Faro and enjoying a drink between this sandy beach that divides the Ria Formosa (protected natural area, full of its own biodiversity) and Faro beach. On both sides you can watch water sports. HANGOVER. After a few turbulent and adrenaline-filled days listening to the sound of various national and international bands, we will rest our heads that have suffered from the constant headbangs of the last 3 days. We will take the day to rest, talk about the highlights of our experience, and exchange contacts and information for future events. Possibility to have dinner nearby or even enjoy a Portuguese snack.

This is the end of our journey, we said goodbye after an experience in which several realities were discovered, and adventures, opinions and knowledge were shared, it is time to return to the reality of our lives and hope that at another time we can meet and relive these moments, sharing them with our musical community and attaching to them memories that otherwise were not possible.
