Do you also feel like you need a weekend to recharge every now and then? Especially when the weather gets colder, days get shorted and everything just gets more depressing, I sure do… But nothing that a good girls' weekend with wellness, drinks and laughter can't fix! Will you join me on a magical trip to this historical town with thermal water sources and a lot of peace and quiet?

About me! I'm Lizet, 31, from The Netherlands. Back in 2018, I decided to move to the pretty city of Prague, where I stayed for 2,5 years. I believe this country is highly underrated, and I can't wait to show you what this stunning country has to offer! Since 2021 I have been traveling around Europe as a digital nomad and this year I decided I wanted to meet more people and start organizing group trips. Mostly with a focus on sustainability and slow travel, to really indulge in the beauty of the countries we visit. Will you join me?

Details about the accommodation: We will be staying in a mid-range spa hotel with a few simple wellness facilities. It's at the edge of the town, surrounded by nature, but still only a 10-minute walk from the center. There will be single rooms and double occupancy rooms. THIS TRIP IS FOR THE DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ROOMS! In the hotel, you can book treatments like massages if you want to. I am looking forward to traveling with you! Let me know in you have any questions in the Q&A section on this trip!

Karlovy Vary

Day 1-2
Day 1: Arrival in Karlovy Vary Day one is the day that we will all gather in the town and get to know each other. Arrival times might differ, so we’ll slowly form a group. I will adjust the schedule according to your arrival times, but since it will be a relaxing weekend, we’ll take it slow and not rush anything. We will stay in a spa hotel, so if some of you arrive a lot earlier than others, worst-case scenario we’ll have to spend some time in the spa already. How terrible.. 😉 I’ll request early check-ins if needed. We will use this day to get to know each other and already get into the right mood for the weekend. Relaxing, without a busy schedule, but with lots of options. I will book a nice restaurant for the evening, with plenty of options for everybody. I will also introduce you to a very special local wine. We're visiting in harvest season, which means that will be a delicious wine that's only available in the Czech Republic during harvest season! I want to start the trip in Karlovy Vary, to not push extra costs to those who live around and can easily get a direct train to the town. Everybody, who lives further away, can fly into Prague. I will be there a day ahead as well, so I’m happy to already meet up with you there. As I’ve lived in the city for 2,5 years, I can show you around and take you to my favourite places. In the morning, I’ll take a train to Karlovy Vary and meet everybody there. If you need any help figuring out how to come to Karlovy Vary, let me know! I'm happy to help with trains or buses from anywhere.

Day 2-3
Day 2: Walking tour, beer spa and relaxation We will start the first day slowly as well. I’d suggest we take the time for it and sleep in and meet in the last half an hour of breakfast. If you’re an early bird, you can, of course, use the spa facilities before breakfast. Or start breakfast early. After breakfast will be our most active activity, a walk around town. Unfortunately, I can't find a guide to tell us more, so it will be self-guided, and I'll do my best to tell you everything I know. The town is known as a spa town, but that has a bigger meaning than just the spa resorts you can find there. These spas are there because of the water sources from the mountains around. This has also resulted in a wide collection of water thermal fountains in the town, that are at its least a stunning sight on its own. We will walk around the water sources and try some. Czech’s swear by these sources, and I’ve seen people fill up multiple bottles to bring home because they should have healing powers. Not in a way that a paralysed person will walk again, unfortunately. But they say that they will fix intestinal issues like bowel problems and cleaning the liver. So if you’re struggling with something, you can try for yourself if they’re right! After the walk, we’ll have lunch in town before we're going to do a very Czech activity, take a beer spa! Beer is said to have plenty of health benefits as well. Not as much as a drink, because of the alcohol, but it's a great cosmetic that has plenty of benefits for the skin and hair. There are plenty of cosmetic brands in the country that offer products with beer, so why not just dive right in? Of course, we can also drink the beer, from a tap next to the tub, not from the tub itself luckily. This is a very unique experience that should make your skin glow. After the beer spa, we will have dinner. This might be at the beer spa itself or somewhere else, slightly depending on diet wishes. After dinner, we’ll return to the hotel for a free evening. You can either just revert to your room and spend some time by yourself, use the spa facilities, or have another glass of wine somewhere. Again, it’s a relaxing weekend, so we’ll see how it goes. Maybe we want to stay together, maybe we need some time apart after spending the afternoon in a tub together.. If you want to book a massage or other treatment at the hotel, this would be a great time for it.

Karlovy Vary

Day 3-4
Day 3: Spa Day Day 3 is all about the spa. We will leave the hotel and visit a big spa facility with everything you might want from a spa, including 8 different saunas and a rooftop pool with, of course, the local mineral water and its, healing powers. We will spend the day here and have lunch here. The ticket includes 100 CZK for refreshments, lunch is not included in the price. Please be aware that in the Czech Republic it's very normal to visit a spa naked, and it'll most likely be a mix of both. There might even be parts that aren't accessible with a bathing suit. After the wellness, we'll take some time in the hotel to take a shower and put on some nice evening clothes because we'll have a great goodbye dinner, of course! I will find a special restaurant for this evening.

Day 4
Day 4: Time to say goodbye Depending on your departure time, we can spend the morning exploring more of Karlovy Vary or use the spa a little longer before check-out. I will join those who take a train back to Prague.
