6 days Mount Kilimanjaro hiking via the Machame route is a best trip to experience Mount Kilimanjaro trail in Africa, Tanzania. Up on your arrival in Tanzania, you will be transferred to the hotel in Moshi for the trip arrangements on the second day. The trip will start from Moshi center Kilimanjaro towards Machame gate where you will start your hiking for 6 days with your hiking guide. In the last day of hiking you will meet our staff at the descending gate towards Moshi for lunch and rest in your hotel and then you may plan your other vacation on the next day or depart for your flight. Details about the accommodation: Up on your arrival in Tanzania, you will be transferred to your bed & breakfast hotel in Moshi. This depends on the nature of the groups of visitors. Machame Gate - Mount Kilimanjaro
Day 1-2
The drive from Moshi to Kilimanjaro Machame Gate takes approximately 60 minutes and leave the park gate by walking through the vegetation zone on a winding path that climbs a ridge. We walk a short distance further until we reach Machame Camp where we rest.

Machame Camp
Day 2-3
After breakfast we leave the rainforest clearings and continue on an uphill trail to Shira Cave Camp, crossing the small valley and hiking along a steep heather covered rocky ridge to the bottom of the ridge.

Shira Camp
Day 3-4
From the Shira Plateau, continue east along a ridge past the junction to Kibo Peak. Shortly after the Lava tower we reach the second trail crossing that takes us 1 km to Arrow Glacier. We now continue to Barranco Hut at an elevation of 13,000 feet.

Barranco Camp
Day 4-5
After breakfast we leave Barranco Camp and continue up a steep ridge past the Barranco Wall to Karanga Valley Camp. We then leave Karanga Camp and reach the turnoff that connects to Mweka Trail and continue to Barafu Camp.

Uhuru Peak
Day 5-6
Very early in the morning head northwest and hike through dense boulders to Stella Point on the rim of Kilimanjaro's crater. Take a short break at Stella Point and be rewarded with the most glorious sunrise. From Stella Point you can find snow all the way on your 1-hour climb to the top of Uhuru Peak. From the summit we now descend directly to Mweka Hut Camp and stop at Barafu for lunch.

Day 6-7
After breakfast we continue the descent to the Mweka gate to receive your summit certificates. Continue from the gate back to Moshi. After breakfast we continue the descent to the Mweka gate to receive your summit certificates. Continue from the gate back to Moshi.
