What's special?
special 4th of JUly in the USA capital!
special 4th of July historic parade
RESERVATION BEFORE 31/12. Without the minimum subscribers, trip won't be done. Have you ever experienced the 4th of July celebrations in United States? Have you ever dreamed to visit the most famous spots of New York? Have you ever wished to see the White House and the National Mall, like in the movies? Well, if you have, this might be your trip! NB: due to crazy high hotel costs, I found hostels with cheap private rooms en-suite, but there are just a few of them... so, don't hesitate in reserving! I already visited these three cities (especially New York, more than once), but not around the 4th of July, so it would be my pleasure to be your tour leader in those amazing days. We will start our journey in The City That Never Sleeps, New York. Here we will spend four entire days to see, if possible due to crowd, all the most famous place of the city, using the New York City Pass which is included in the trip, as the 7 days unlimited MetroCard for the subway (why 7 days? Because there are no different unlimited plans, this way we will be free to use it as much as possible without any limits, and includes the JFK airport train - think about that two rides are already more than 5$). Than, we will spend an afternoon and a night in the city of Philadelphia, an historic town where the United States independence was signed in 1776 (and it is also the Rocky Balboa town!). This quick visit will prepare us for the 4th of July celebrations. To complete our journeys, the last two days we will be in Washington DC: we will see the White House, the National Mall with its amazing monuments, and we will participate to the 4th of July historic parade, joining the people and breathing the real USA atmosphere, before coming back to New York airport. All trains are included :D I set a day by day plan, made to let you see as much as possible, during your journey, but you will always be free to leave the group or, if all agree, to change the plans: it's your vacation, and I'm here to make it unforgettable 🥳

ABOUT ME: I'm Alessandro, an italian 37 years old certified tour leader (I passed the exam just in september 2023, with english and spanish qualifications), and I have a special connection with the city of New York: it has been my first extra-EU destination in 2016, after a bad sickness who affected me in 2015, and it has been my first long trip, the one who encouraged me to travel so far. WHO CAN JOIN ME? In my trips, everyone is welcome: alone travelers, friends, couples, families. I love kids. There are no age limits, just remember we will walk a lot! :) I like waking up early, exploring all day, and going to bed no too late. I'm not a party-guy, if I can say so, but I love meeting people and share good moments with them :-) I also follow an alcohol free life, but this doesn't mean you cannot drink ^.^

As said before, hotel private rooms has prohibitive costs, but I could find two hostels (New York, in Manhattan, and Washington, two miles from the White House) that provide private rooms (from one to three or four beds) with private or shared bathrooms with a reasonable prices: but there are just a few number of these rooms, so hurry up, it's not the time to hesitate in reserving :-) About Philadelphia, we will sleep in a quite cheap hotel in the center, with private en-suite twin beds or double rooms. The price of the trip is calculated in double rooms. So, if you need different accommodations, please let me know as soon as possible and I'll provide a new price. Any questions about the trip? You can let me know in the Q&A section!

Trip Itinerary

New York

Day 1-6
The first day we will meet in the afternoon at the JFK international airport (or already at the hostel in Manhattan). Due to the long trip, we will just have a dinner together, and you will be free to rest until the next morning. The second day we will dedicate our time in visiting the city midtown (coming there by the High Line walk) with all its high buildings. If all agree, we can think about reserving the Empire State Building rooftop visit. The third day Lower Manhattan will be our destination: we will visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, we will take a walk in Wall Street, Little Italy and Chinatown, before ending our journey at the Brooklyn Bridge. On the fourth day we will visit the American Museum of Natural History, taking a walk in Central Park. In the afternoon we will take a look at Lincoln Center and we will visit Roosvelt Island, going there by the panoramic cable car. This is optional: for those who might be tired, this day can be the rest day! The last day in New York will be dedicated to see Liberty and Ellis islands... the best way to say goodbye to this city!
2

Philadelphia

Day 6-7
Leaving New York in the morning, we will arrive in Philadelphia before lunch. We can think about leaving the big luggage in custody at the train station until the day after. In the afternoon we will walk in city center, seeing the Independence National Historic Park and the Liberty Bell center. Of course, we can't miss the Rocky Balboa statue, at the Philadelphia Museum of Arts.We will also taste the Philly Cheesesteak, a typical sandwich famous in this town.
3

Washington

Day 7-9
Leaving Philadelphia in the morning, we will reach the US capital around lunch time. In these one day and half, we will see the Arlington National Cemetery, where you can see the graves of John F. Kennedy, his wife and many others famous personalities who are buried here, more a lot of monuments. We will see the White House (from outside of course, lol!) and the amazing National Mall with its huge monuments and its history (remember, that is the place of the Martin Luther King famous speech: "I have a dream"). For those who might be tired, the first afternoon can be used a rest day! On the fourth of July we will also see the allegoric and historic parade, joining the american people on one of their favourite celebrations!

New York

Day 9
Time to say good bye! If you have a flight from Washington DC, you can remain in the city; if you need to go back to New York, that's what I do, so you can join me leaving the american capital in the early morning, to be there not later than 11:30am.
