This is really putting my writing skills to the test. I have been meaning to head to Shenzhen when I was in Hong Kong a couple of months back. However due to the visa restrictions, I find it such a hassle and pain that I ended up not going. Jeng jeng, making trips to the embassy to apply for a visa need not be the case for now. This will be my very first trip to China and I hope to make it happen a day after my birthday! Travelling with others is so much fun. Duration: Approximately 5 days Visiting China during the autumn season in September means we get to experience the lovely temperatures of around 10 degrees and higher. We will trek the Mutianyu Great Wall or even take a cable car depending on what we are feeling. Catch a Chinese opera show at Liyuan Theatre, National Museum of China, eat delicious Peking duck, try some sweet treats. Beijing Wangfujing Snack Street has plenty of options for us to satiate our Chinese food cravings. Visiting the Hutongs for a rustic self photography session, explore the magnificent Temple of Heaven. Unwind with a natural hot spring. Visit Happy Valley Park for a full fun day of rides. Day 6-9: Taking the second class seat train to Jinan in Shandong province (5 hours). Slide down the 1000 Buddha mountains, get a taste of smelly tofu, malt candy and yogurt. Famous for being the city of springs, we can enjoy the tranquility of Heihu springs. Other days we can explore the malls Jinan Guihe Shang Chang, visit aesthetic cafes etc. I believe a trip should be relaxing so we should take things leisurely. Day 9-15: 6 hour bus ride to Qingdao, land in the afternoon. Grab delicious bakes from 不懂就问问,崎本是谁?崎本 at 万象城, stuff our faces with dumplings. It’s the coastal port city so we definitely have to savour some fresh seafood. German street, catch the sunset while strolling the beach. A visit to the beer museum to know what the high quality beer Tsingtao is about. Night flight back home.
About me! Hi there, my name is Mel, from Singapore, am in my very late 20s and I consider myself an alien from outer space. Have been told my charms is beyond this world. Ha, I am joking. Not quite. Truth be told I am a foodie, someone that don’t mind walking yet loves the finer things in life. I have a keen eye for aesthetics too.
Details about the accommodation: -2 person to a room and single beds I am still finalising the stay type but mostly will look simple and stylish, providing backs necessities, good enough for us to have supper back in our rooms and chill out. Since we will not be spending too much time in our rooms, there is no need to get a high end stay. If you have any questions overall about the trip you can let me know in the Q&A section!
