Day 1-2
Welcome to Quito, the capital of Ecuador! Upon arrival at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO), your hotel shuttle bus driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Meals included: -

Otavalo
Day 2-3
Quito - The Living Museum: Stroll through the cobbled streets of Quito's historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at its colonial architecture, visit majestic churches, and savor the local flavors in traditional markets. Discover the magic of the equator like never before at Quitsato, an extraordinary site that merges ancient astronomy with breathtaking landscapes. Located at the precise middle of the world, Quitsato offers a unique and insightful experience that will leave you in awe. Meals included: Breakfast

Otavalo
Day 3-4
Today, immerse yourself in the traditional craftsmanship of the Otavalo community with a hands-on Totora experience. Learn the ancient techniques of weaving and crafting using totora reeds, a vital part of local culture. Optionally, participate in a shamanism session to connect with the spiritual heritage of the region. Overnight stay in Otavalo. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4-5
Begin your day exploring the vibrant Otavalo Market, renowned for its colorful textiles and handmade crafts. Continue to the serene Papallacta Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in the natural thermal waters. In the evening, check in at Itamandi Lodge and enjoy a peaceful night surrounded by nature. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

Tena
Day 5-6
After breakfast, we walk through the primary and secondary forest. This activity lasts about 2 - 1/2 to 3 hours. In the afternoon it is time to enjoy a cultural activity. An Amazonian Kichwa community passed us by and we will learn about their way of life and the interaction they have with the jungle. In this meeting, that part of the Amazon that is not found on maps will be shown: the Amazonian people in their daily lives. Part of our visit to the community consists of sharing the famous "chicha", a fermented yucca drink that has become part of their festivities and daily consumption. We will participate in the preparation of this drink and try some of the traditional dishes. We will end the visit with a traditional dance performed by the children of the community and we will also have time to buy some handicrafts made by the indigenous people of the area. This small company is of great help to support the daily life of the indigenous people. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Macas
Day 6-7
Start your day with check-out from Itamandi Lodge and travel to the Yanacocha Reserve. Nestled in the Andean cloud forest, Yanacocha is a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. Explore the reserve's trails and marvel at the diverse flora and fauna, including the striking hummingbirds that frequent the area. Enjoy a guided tour to learn about the conservation efforts and the ecological importance of this unique environment. After your visit, continue to Macas for an overnight stay. Day 7-8
Begin your day with a visit to the Shuar Waterfall, where you'll be enchanted by the natural beauty and have the opportunity to learn about the Shuar culture and traditions. Continue your journey to Altillo Lake, a picturesque spot perfect for relaxation and taking in the stunning Andean scenery. After exploring the lake, proceed to Guamote, where you will spend the night, experiencing the charm of this traditional Andean town. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 8-9
Start your day with a visit to a native community in the Chimborazo region. Immerse yourself in their culture, traditions, and way of life, gaining insight into the rich heritage of the Andean people. Next, enjoy a unique opportunity to spot vicuñas in their natural habitat, appreciating these graceful animals against the backdrop of the stunning Chimborazo landscape. Day 9-10
Begin your day with a visit to the Saquisilí Market, one of the most vibrant and authentic markets in Ecuador. Day 10-11
Start your day with an exhilarating kayaking adventure on the stunning Quilotoa Crater Lake, surrounded by breathtaking views. Spend a thrilling day exploring the natural wonders of Mindo with adventurous activities including the tarabita (cable car), canopy (zip-line), and zipline tours. Start your day with a ride on the tarabita, offering panoramic views of the lush cloud forest below. Then, experience the adrenaline rush of zip-lining through the treetops on a canopy tour, enjoying bird's-eye views of the forest canopy and the rushing rivers below.
