Hello friends! 🙋🏽‍♀️Marta here. Movement explorer and yoga addict, traveling and working remotely for more than a year now. The exploration of this lifestyle is what brought me together with the community of other digital nomads/ travelers/ remote workers/ creatives/ entrepreneurs. Definitely expanded my comfort zone and gave me an opportunity for discovering incredible places. ⛰️I have run retreats for nomads/remote workers. It is a 1-week experience focused on building daily healthy habits, boosting inspiration and creativity, building deeper connections, getting familiar with mind-body practices, and coworking. My personal role there is to motivate you to move your body, show up for yourself, practice self-compassion, and look inward through embodied practices. I will give you tools for tracking your level of body awareness. I also cook very delicious vegan food! My friend Maris will share tips for meditation practice, give you tools for tracking your thoughts and increasing your tolerance to pain. She will also run masterminds and sharing circles. Both different from each other but so important in this lifestyle. The Borderless Retreat community is built already by a large group of remote professionals from different fields: marketing, IT, coaching, therapy, photography, online teaching, social media management, movement, arts from 26 different countries! Wanna be part of it? 🏠THE NOMAD VILLA - Quinta do Mirante Quinta do Mirante is over a hundred years old. Formerly a wine farm, our house is located on the hillside of the green valley where the rivers Douro, Paiva, and Tamega meet. ​ The name "Mirante" was inspired by the view seen from a uniquely large rock studded with cedar trees. Roughly 50 kilometers from Porto, the airport, and the long beaches, Quinta is comfortably nestled close to the city but far enough inland to be part of Portugal's famous wine country. The villa consists of the Silo Suite, the Main House, a fully equipped kitchen, a living area, bbq, and a large terrace. Silo Suite consists of a master bedroom and a twin room and one large bathroom. There is air conditioning in each room. The Main House has 4 twin rooms, 2 bathrooms, a communal kitchen, and a living area with a library and board game corner. Those two buildings are connected by a large veranda with outdoor dining space. There is a good quality WIFI in every room and common spaces. The connection also reaches the terraces outside. The house is surrounded by judge amount of land, mostly converted into a fruit and vegetable garden. There is an outdoor yoga terrace, a large swimming pool on top of the hill, and access to the forest where some trekking routes meet. You can catch incredible views of the mountains and slopes of vineyards from every corner of Quinta as the whole terrain is built on terraces. 🌺The weather will be around 25-30 °C. Lots of places to trek, swim in the river, watch the sunrises, and connect with nature and locals. We are also very near the hiking trails and kayaking spots. 🦠COVID-19 INFO After 2 months of the lockdown restriction in mainland Portugal, the country is slowly becoming one of the safest destinations on the European travel scene. The lifting of the restrictions started from the beginning of April and is successfully progressing in the whole country. We require a negative test result from all participants who are traveling by plane to the retreat carried out within 72 hours prior to boarding or on arrival at the airport. Quinta is located on the slopes of the Douro Valley - the wine-growing estate in the North of Portugal, 1-hour drive from Porto. The property is surrounded by nature. There is a large garden with fruit trees, a swimming pool overlooking the breathtaking landscape, and access to the forest. You can catch stunning views from every corner of Quinta's land. We are also very nearby the hiking trails and kayaking spots.
