Cultural Immersion Immerse yourself in Maori culture, visit iconic film locations from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, and get a chance to see the famous kiwi bird in its natural habitat. 💥 HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRIP: ► Modern living in Auckland: Explore a vibrant city and enjoy picturesque beaches nearby. ► Maori culture in Rotorua: Visit Maori villages located in a geothermal landscape, witness a haka performance while trying the mouth-watering hangi. ► Active Volcanoes in Tongariro National Park: Hike the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing, one of the best day hikes in the world. ► Historical Wellington: Discover the capital's cultural and historical landmarks, and learn about New Zealand's history at Te Papa Tongarewa, the country's favorite museum. ► Rugged West Coast: Leave the civilization and drive along a cliff-lined coast with pristine beaches to visit Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. ► Queenstown – Adventure Capital of New Zealand: Scale the surrounding mountains or enjoy the waters of Lake Wakatipu. ► Natural Wonders in Fiordland National Park: Meet the cheeky Kea, a parrot ruling over the magnificent rainforests and mountains of the park while taking in the serene beauty of Milford Sound. ► Alpine Scenery of Aoraki Mt Cook National Park: Walk beneath the highest mountains in the country and marvel at glaciers feeding into crystal-clear turquoise lakes. ℹ️ WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: 1. Fitness • This trip has been designed for people with moderate fitness levels. Throughout the journey, we will undertake various hikes, including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, which lasts 6-8 hours. • Only if you are healthy and fit enough to participate in the listed activities should you book the trip. Ask the TripLeader for more information if you're not sure this trip is for you. There may be alternative attractions for you to do instead. 2. Flights • Each TripMate is responsible for arriving at the place where the trip begins on time. • To coordinate flights to/from New Zealand with other TripMates or the TripLeader, communicate with the group members. • In order for the trip to go smoothly, don't buy flights that are part of the trip itinerary (Wellington-Christchurch) and flights out of the last destination withoout communicating with the TripLeader first. • If TripMate's flight schedule does not align with the group's schedule, it is solely TripMate's responsibility. • Please note that because each Teammate may be arriving to New Zealand on a different time, airport transfers are not guaranteed and must be accepted by the TripLeader. >> Flights from Wellington to Christchurch are usually in the 100-300 NZD price range. 3. Attractions & Itinerary • If not included in the itinerary, after booking, you will receive a list of additional attractions that you can participate in if time allows, or if the group chooses to do them instead of the main itinerary attractions. • Please contact the TripLeader before making any final bookings for any ticketed attractions for the trip. 4. Free Time • Our itinerary is packed with the best attractions New Zealand has to offer. Get ready for long days of sightseeing and travel. 5. Partying • If you're looking for a trip that focuses on partying, this is not a trip for you. 6. Food • TripMates have the freedom to plan their meals on their own, whether it's dining out, preparing meals on their own or with the group. • The TripLeader will inform TripMates on food options for each day, as well as kitchen availability in each accommodation. • In certain locations food options may be limited or absent, the TripLeader will advise TripMates on that in advance so that they can prepare proper provisions. >> Food expenses will be approx. 50 NZD/day, but depend on individual needs. Ask the TripLeader for more details on food prices in New Zealand. 7. Communication • There will be a pre-trip online meeting for TripMates. Additionally, the Trip Leader will create a WhatsApp group for all TripMates to communicate before and during the trip. 8. Group Size • If there aren't enough TripMates to book the trip by 15.09.2024 (8 TripMates for this trip), the TripLeader may cancel the trip or there may be changes to the price, itinerary or accommodation standards of the trip that you will be asked to accept. In case of a cancellation, there are options that will still make it possible for you to go to your dream destination, look for more details on this in the TripLeader's Trip Terms & Conditions. 9. Terms, Conditions, Canellations • Before booking your spot, please read TripLeader's Trip Terms & Conditions found in my profile description (click on my picture on top of the page) in addition to the JoinMyTrip's Cancelation Policy and Terms & Conditions. 🏨 GENERAL ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION • The trip price includes 14 nights of accommodation – may be adjusted if you won't be using some of the accommodation because of your flight schedule. • We will stay in private double rooms with double or twin beds, depending on whether you travel alone or with a friend (please indicate while booking). • Most accommodations will be at 3 or 4-star motels and hotels. • In certain locations (indicated in the itinerary), we may need to stay in group-shared accommodation (e.g apartments, holiday houses) due to limited accommodation options. • The accommodations listed in the itinerary are accommodation standard examples. Actual booked accommodation depend on availability, booking conditions, group size, possible changes to the itinerary. • Efforts will be made to accommodate everyone in the same hotel. • You might need to share a room with a TripMate of the opposite sex, though efforts will be made to avoid this. Contact the TripLeader if this is a concern. • If you prefer not to share a room, discuss options with the TripLeader before you book.
