About
Hi there! My name is Pedro! I am a fellow travelling enthusiast, originally from the northeastern mountainous area of Portugal known as Trás-os-Montes. I have been fortunate enough to be able to enjoy some of this world's magnificent human and natural treasures and I plan on doing so as often as I can. I am an archaeologist and an intercultural communicator by trade, but life has taken me many places, so I have also been a translator, a researcher, a chef, a farmer, a waiter, and a myriad of other things we will be able to laugh about when we get to meet! I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish fluently, while my Finnish, my German, and my French aren't too shabby either. I am always up for a language exchange though, so feel free to put me to the test and share whatever knowledge you feel like imparting! I love to travel, to bike, to play my (classical) guitar, to cook (please share all the vegan recipes you can!), photography, animals, hiking, climbing, and effectively all things nature and outdoors! I am also fascinated by history, geography, maps (archaeologist and nerd alert!), and interculturality at large and in particular human and natural adaptations to local conditions.

The trip with Pedro was absolutely incredible! We had the best time ever, laughing and joking around all the way. He did such a great job organising everything and his knowledge about the stunning landscapes, rich history, diverse nature and all kinds of fun facts made the trip even more special. Thank you so much for picking the fruits of the strawberry tree with us, exploring hidden caves, taking us to the most spectacular beaches along the trail, introducing us to delicious new recipes, marvelling at breathtaking sunsets and taking refreshing dips in the wild Atlantic Ocean with us every day. Pedro is an amazing guide and human being! Thanks again for the incredible time we shared together – it was truly unforgettable :D

Pedro is a nice guy. The whole trip was thoroughly planned and Pedro well informed on local spots and history along the route though there was always room for modification that made me feel like a little explorer myself when e.g. taking a less frequent path down to an outstanding beach or stay a bit longer when time and place is just right ;) I like to thank Pedro also for some good conversations, teaching me how to count '3' with my fingers in a non-German way (I wasn't even aware of) and those countless riddles he uses to tell - that might become someday his own trademark - and that you can't miss out... It should be pointed out that the atmosphere during the whole trip was full of kindness and respect - just like your were doing this with already good old friends of yours!

This was my first trip to Portugal and it exceeded my expectations. The trip was fantastic and that can be attributed to Pedro for his choice of routes and destinations. He was very helpful in all parts of the trip, friendly, extremely knowledgable of the area and helped us to get to know a lot about the local culture. I also very much appreciated his flexibility. Thank you Pedro for making this trip feel like a reunion of old friends.
