You might be wondering… why is tea such a hot topic (pun intended) in English food culture? In fact, the British drink 100 million cups of tea every single day. The reason behind all the tea-drinking is mostly historic, with royalty adapting the idea of Afternoon Tea long ago. The ideal of a nice Afternoon Tea then quickly became an aspiration for the working class. And, well, this has lead the English tea culture to where it is today! There is much more to the food culture in England, though, and our host Mariellen will tell you all you need to know.
