4. Kakadu National Park

Located in the north of Australia, this park is also the largest national park in all the land. This ‘dry’ rainforest also holds a lot of cultural history, having been the home for Aboriginal Peoples for tens of thousands of years. To learn more about the cultural wonders of the park, you can take the Wurreng Cultural Walk. The park holds inside countless natural wonders, including crystal clear water pools, waterfalls, and of course, lush forests. This green oasis offers plenty of unique hikes to its visitors, one of the best being the Emma Gorge trail, where you can take a dip in the water hole you’ll find at the end of your hike! 2. Lamington National Park

Lamington is a part of the Gondwana rainforests but deserves an honorable mention separately as one of the best rainforest areas to visit in Australia. One of the most amazing sights while hiking in Lamington is the Morans Falls, which fall from a height of 80 meters. The park also offers amazing accommodation opportunities. The rainforest ecosystem of Springbrook was born from a volcanic eruption some millions of years ago. Here, you’ll also find some of the oldest trees.
