The Top 10 Essentials for your CoWorking Trip

There are some things you shouldn’t forget on your CoWorking trip…

Besides the obvious things, like a laptop, clothes, and books, you should not forget to take these 10 essentials with you. They will not only make your CoWorking life more pleasant but also that of your CoWorkers…

10. Warm socks or slippers

A fire heater.

Even if you are in warm Spain, these little things can save you from cold feet. Either pack your favorite socks in your suitcase or look around locally and buy a pair of slippers. Especially if the air conditioning is running or there is a cold tile floor in your accommodation, you will be grateful for this tip.

9. Sleeping mask A blonde girl sleeping under white bed sheets.

A good night’s sleep is especially important if you work during the day and want to do something after work. Your accommodation may not have curtains or blinds that perfectly darken the bedroom or you share the room with someone who still has the light on until late at night. A sleeping mask has only advantages. If you are sharing your room with other coworkers, we also recommend earplugs so you don’t have to endure the snoring of others.

You would rather go on vacation than work? No problem! At JoinMyTrip, you’ll find unique group trips all over the world. Share your costs and experiences with other like-minded travelers and see the world from a new perspective.

 8. Bluetooth box or portable speaker

If you want to listen to some music with the others after work or need some background music while cooking and eating, it’s a good idea to bring a portable speaker. This way you can also sit outside on the terrace and listen to a little music to relax during dinner. In addition, you get to know the musical tastes of the other fellow travelers… 😉

7. Extension cord

Pack an extension cord or a multi-plug so you can charge your laptop even if all the outlets in the area are occupied. With multiple plugs, 3 (or more) people can charge their devices at one table. This way, everyone is more productive because you don’t have to search for outlets.

6. Pen and paper

A notebook with texts written on it.

This also seems like an obvious essential, but you can easily forget both at home. So pack at least 2 pens that you like to write with and paper or your notebook, whatever you prefer to work with!

5. Power bank

You should have a power bank with you on every trip. It’s especially handy when you go outside for a long phone call and may not be near a power outlet, or if you’re on the road a lot and use Google Maps. Some laptops can now be charged with a power bank, so don’t forget yours!

4. Bluetooth mouse

…or just a normal mouse. If you have a mouse in addition to your laptop touchpad, you’ll work more productively, faster, and more effectively. Moving small things in documents suddenly doesn’t take forever anymore, but is done very quickly. So don’t forget to pack this small and useful little helper.

3. Portable, small router

This is a useful tip from our colleague Anna. On her first CoWorking trip in Portugal, the wifi was not as strong and reliable as expected. So she bought a small mobile router for 80€ and a 100GB sim card from a local mobile provider. Never again without and always on the safe side if the internet in the house suddenly breaks down!

2. Noise canceling headphones

You’ll definitely thank us for this tip. Noise canceling headphones help you concentrate even when everyone around you is in meetings. They block out all the noise around you, so you can work more productively. It’s also worth spending a little more money on them because then you’re guaranteed peace and quiet.

1. Second screen

Many of us work with a second screen, so you can easily compare things and don’t have to constantly jump between two windows. There are also flat and small screens that fit perfectly in your luggage without taking up a lot of space.
