Find modern cafes selling breakfast packages, trendy bars pumping the hottest hits, and aesthetically-pleasing stores offering the products of Vietnam’s art community.
I was intrigued by Hanoi Old Quarter the moment my Grab Bike dropped me in front of a local restaurant. The streets were bustling with pedestrians and food vendors, tourists sit in humble cafes to enjoy their cups of joe, and the antique buildings look twice as vibrant under the lights. Besides strolling around, I tried the legendary egg coffee at Cafe Giang, had a bowl of hearty bun cha (Vietnamese grilled pork soup served with vermicelli noodles), posed in front of the colonial-styled buildings at French Quarter, and danced in a bar at Ta Hien Party Street. In a nutshell, Hanoi Old Quarter is a must-visit in the city and has an endless things to do for your group.

We voyaged to Halong Bay on a cruise ship, which comes with a deck that offers a 360-degree view of the bay. The landscape, adorned with turquoise-colored waters and jungle-clad limestone cliffs, took my breath away. Although cloudy weather is almost an everyday scene at Halong Bay, it does not take out the beauty. Our group stopped in three destinations, which are the Titop Island, Sungsot Cave, and Luon Cave. We took a boat ride to pass through a limestone cliff, which is my favorite part of Halong Bay.
