Having a hard time deciding wether to travel for vacation or for learning a new skill? This trip will be both, discover the beauty of Costa Rica at the same time that you learn about the exclusive coffees we produce, and learn what good coffee tastes like and how to brew it the best way according to international standards and demands.

About me! I am an avid traveller and a coffee profesional, wanting to travel with you and share all my coffee knowledge at the right spots. Went to school for philosphy and for business management. I have dedicated my last half decade working with coffee and learning about it.

Details about the accommodation: We will stay in different places that typically work as Airbnb properties. Depending on the amount of TripMates, you will sleep in a Private room or shared with one or two other TripMates. All lodging facilities will be exclusively for us. They will have a kitchen if you prefer to stay home and cook for yourself instead of going out. Bath towels and sheets will be provided. San José

Day 1-2
Capitol City of Costa Rica is, the fifth in the world to have electric lanterns. The location where most specialty coffee shops are. We will visit some of the best specialty coffee shops downtown. There will be time to explore the local market.

Naranjo de Alajuela

Day 2-3
Second biggest coffee producing region of Costa Rica, award winning farms. Meet producers/farmers and see how coffee cherries are processed after harvest. Unforgetable views towards the central valley.

Toro Amarillo

Day 3-4
This will definitely be a hidden gem. You will feel embraced by the surrounding mountains and amazed by the naturally light blue river. Here we will learn about coffee cupping and scoring at the only specialty coffee shop in town.

La Fortuna

Day 4-5
Perfectly cone-shaped volcano, which was active until recent times. Volcanic hot springs will relax you in a way you have likely never experienced before. Optional activities here: White water rafting, horseback riding, ATV rides, and more.

Nicoya

Day 5-6
One of the world-known blue zones, where people live past 100 years old. Learn what makes them so healthy and visit a specialty coffee shop. We will drive to the beach from here and back.

Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Preserve

Day 6-8
We will visit the unique Cloud Forest and hike above the treetops. Monteverde will surprise you with beautiful sunsets and waking up to the birds singing. We will finish our journey and return you to San José for your next destination.
